The Role

Our client currently has a requirement for a Control Room Operative for a power station in Nottinghamshire. The role is key in the safe and efficient operation of the site and duties will include:

• Using SCADA systems to control industrial processes, monitor and gather and record real time data, monitoring and controlling routes for materials and directly interacting with sensors, motors, valves etc
• Communicating requirements and information to appropriate departments and supervisors
• Reporting and recording any defects to appropriate departments and supervisors

Qualifications

• Good level of computer literacy and experience using computerised systems
• Understanding of the material handling systems
• Control room operations training an advantage
• Good understanding / knowledge of heavy site plant
• Clear and consistent communication
• Positive attitude to safety with the confidence to challenge unsafe working
