Siemens Energy Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a Hub Manager for the Remote Operations Control Centre. You will lead a team responsible for 24/7 monitoring and control of grid assets, ensuring uptime, safety and fast incident response.

You’ll collaborate with Grid Technologies, sales and BD to tailor O&M offerings, drive process improvements and uphold UK safety, regulatory and cybersecurity standards in a hybrid remote/office setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in power system control room or utility operations.
• Experience leading teams in 24/7 shift environments.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA/EMS and high voltage grid operations.
• Familiarity with UK Grid Codes and safety regulations (WTSR, Safety Rules).
• Certifications such as IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee 24/7 real-time monitoring and control of grid access assets, ensuring maximum availability and prompt response to alarms.
• Lead emergency response protocols and incident management workflows during grid disturbances or equipment failures.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of control room operators and engineers, ensuring appropriate shift coverage and competency levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in ROCC processes, tools, and SCADA/EMS systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations, High Voltage Safety Rules, and environmental standards within the control room.
• Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity protocols and data integrity measures for remote control systems.
• Drive the growth strategy for the ROCC by collaborating with the Grid Technologies, sales, and business development teams to tailor O&M offerings to customer needs.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective customers, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including cybersecurity standards and NIS/NIS2 compliance.
• Host visits and tours for potential customers and stakeholders at the ROCC, effectively showcasing the centre’s services and capabilities.
• Create a cohesive and standardized method for onboarding new projects and managing ongoing operations across various customer assets and technologies to enhance efficiency and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with the senior operations engineer and head of Grid Access to manage the broader operations team, ensuring all necessary procedures are established and the team is adequately trained to operate assets effectively.
