Job summary

Colas Rail UK is seeking a proactive Control Room Operator for its Rugby Control Centre to ensure the 24/7 safe operation of our on-track plant. You will monitor and coordinate activities, working closely with site teams and applying safety procedures in a demanding environment.

Based in Rugby, the role offers opportunities to develop rail operations knowledge, through training and authorisation, and a rewarding career within a leading rail infrastructure business.

Qualifications

• Experience using computer systems to record and manage safety critical data.
• Ability to interpret operational data in a safety critical environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the safe, efficient, 24/7 operation of on-track plant.
• Report, record and escalate real-time incidents and environmental occurrences following procedures.
• Coordinate with on-site colleagues, supervisors and maintenance teams as needed.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety rules and company procedures.
