Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking an Operations Controller for Rail Track Maintenance Train Sector in Dartford. You will monitor live operations, coordinate drivers and teams, and ensure timely handovers across 24/7 shifts.

The role includes working day, night, weekend and on-call blocks, with a salary of £35,000-£36,000 plus overtime. Full training, pension, health plan, and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational coordination or dispatch.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live rail operations and machine movements.
• Communicate with drivers and operational teams.
• Coordinate information when plans change or problems occur.
• Respond to operational incidents and escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate operational control logs.
• Monitor working hours and roster requirements.
• Receive and check work returns and reports.
• Prepare and issue operational documentation.
• Use email, Excel and Word during shifts.
• Ensure information is recorded and communications are clear.
• Provide clear handovers to the next Controller.
