Job summary

Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Controller in the UK to coordinate breakdown support, authorise repairs and keep customers informed. You will play a key role in keeping vehicles moving by liaising with repairers, suppliers and internal teams.

You will be organised, able to think quickly, and comfortable handling costs and invoices while using computer systems and phone communications to maintain a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Organised and able to make quick decisions for resolving issues.
• Knowledge of vehicle repairs, transport, workshops or call centres is useful but transferable experience is accepted.
• Willing to participate in flexible shift working once knowledge and performance are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Provide a 24/7/365 breakdown service and keep customers informed.
• Authorise maintenance and repairs across trucks, trailers, vans and equipment.
• Check history, warranty and prior repairs before authorising work.
• Monitor repairs to completion, ensuring safety, quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with repairers, suppliers, customers and internal teams.
