Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Emergency Control Room Operator to provide professional security and control room services for a 24-hour team at their Carrington site. The role focuses on maintaining safety, monitoring alarms and coordinating with authorities as needed. You will join the Workplace Security Team based at Carrington, Manchester M31.

Access to transport is essential due to location. 42 hours per week on a 4 on/4 off pattern, with a monthly shift allowance and overtime

Qualifications

• Valid SIA badge (SG or DS) required.
• Valid CCTV Licence required.
• Own vehicle due to location.
• Must hold a UK manual driving licence due to driving company vehicles.
• Full 5-year UK checkable work history.
• Strong, clear communicator using Radio Control.
• Must understand and be able to use the Phonetic Alphabet.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the control room environment.
• CCTV monitoring and patrols.
• Ongoing communication with the security officers on site, providing guidance and direction, relaying any response requirements.
• Act as a key member of the incident management team, working closely with the safety team leaders.
• Monitor and respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Liaise with local authorities, including police and emergency healthcare services in the event of an emergency.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, logging all security-related activities and occurrences.
• Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room.
