Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Emergency Control Room Operator to safeguard client premises within a 24-hour team. Based in Carrington, Manchester, you will monitor CCTV, respond to alarms, coordinate with security officers and authorities, and prepare incident reports.

A valid SIA badge, CCTV licence, and a UK driving licence are essential; own vehicle required. The role offers a permanent 42-hour week on a 4-on, 4-off rotating shift (days/nights), with a monthly shift allowance.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the control room environment.
• CCTV monitoring and patrols.
• Ongoing communication with the security officers on site, providing guidance and direction, relaying any response requirements.
• Act as a key member of the incident management team, working closely with the safety team leaders.
• Monitor and respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Liaise with local authorities, including police and emergency services in emergencies.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, logging all security activities.
• Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room; provide 24-hour security and control room coverage.

Job description

• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, logging all security-related activities and occurrences.
• Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room.
  Your role will be to provide professional security and control room services as part of a 24-hour team to our client. You will maintain the security and safety of their premises and people by monitoring, assisting with emergency controls and surveying the building and its assets. You will need to be observant, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills., Valid SIA Badge - SG or DS Licence
• Valid CCTV Licence
• Own Vehicle due to location
• Must hold a UK Manual Driver's Licence due to driving company vehicles
• Strong, clear communicator as you will be using Radio Control
• Must understand and be able to use the Phonetic Alphabet

You will be joining our Workplace Security Teams based at Carrington, Manchester M31. Access to own transport is essential as there is NO public transport to the site

• This is a permanent role at 42 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, working 4 on, 4 off - 2x Days & 2x Nights, 6 am - 6 pm / 6 pm - 6 am rolling rota. There is also a shift allowance of £217 per month, and overtime is available at a 1½ rate.
