Job description

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Vacancy – Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8am to 6pm

Alford Medical Group has a vacancy for a friendly, helpful, and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team.

Requirements include experience with GP software such as Vision, Docman, and Excel.

Some flexibility in hours is required to cover holiday and illness, with additional hours by mutual agreement.

Duties
  1. Dealing with patient appointments both at reception and on the phone
  2. Registering and maintaining patient records
  3. Handling patient queries, including prescriptions, test results, and general information
  4. Using software such as Vision, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel
  5. General administration tasks
  6. Other duties as assigned
Person Specification
  1. Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues
  2. Respond promptly and helpfully to inquiries
  3. Work accurately and carefully
  4. Adapt to changing demands and priorities
  5. Support colleagues and work as part of a team
  6. Listen actively, ask questions, and seek help when needed
  7. Handle difficult situations professionally
  8. Maintain confidentiality at all times

Salary depends on experience. The position includes eligibility for NHS pension scheme membership.
