Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer to join a busy IT team in Plymouth. You will provide day-to-day support across the business and develop technical knowledge in a hands-on role.

You will be the first point of contact for end users, troubleshooting Windows and Office issues, and assisting with device setup and onboarding while collaborating with the IT team to keep services reliable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 1st Line Support or Service Desk role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a structured manner.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-line technical support to users across the business.
• Log, troubleshoot and resolve IT issues relating to hardware, software and business applications.
• Support users both remotely and onsite, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Escalate more complex incidents where required whilst maintaining ownership of tickets.
• Assist with device setup, deployment and user onboarding activities.
• Work collaboratively with the wider IT team to maintain stable and efficient IT services.
• Contribute to documentation, system improvements and IT best practices.
