Job summary

Booker is recruiting a local delivery driver for the Kirby Hill area. You’ll work around 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, loading at the branch and delivering to customers with a focus on reliable, friendly service.

Must hold CatC / 18T licence with at least two years' driving experience; manual deliveries and strong numeracy are essential. Weekend work may be required within a busy delivery team.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence is required.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver to regular customers and maintain good relationships.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an Any 5 from 7 contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
