Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local team in the Devon and Torbay area. You will drive the branch vehicle to customers, load and unload goods, and ensure accurate paperwork and timely deliveries.

The role requires a CatC / 18T licence, at least two years of delivery driving experience, and a strong customer service mindset to support regular customers and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence required.
• Two years driving experience required.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy required.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch.
• Unload at customer premises and ensure delivery accuracy.
• Complete paperwork accurately for each delivery.
• Build relationships with regular customers and maintain timeliness.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an Any 5 from 7 contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
