Job summary

Booker is seeking delivery drivers to join its local delivery team. You will be responsible for loading stock, delivering to customers, and maintaining accurate paperwork while ensuring on-time, friendly service.

The role involves 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 schedule, with CPC training provided and local driving to build relationships with regular customers. Ideal candidates have CatC / 18T licences and at least two years of driving experience, with strong customer service and numeracy

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence required.
• Previous driving experience of at least two years.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver to customers on time with a high standard of service.
• Assist with local driving and build relationships with regular customers.
• Work on an Any 5 from 7 contract; some weekend work.

Working on an Any 5 from 7 contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
