Job summary

Booker in Gloucester is seeking delivery drivers for local routes, joining a busy team to load and deliver stock to regular customers while fostering relationships and ensuring timely, high-quality service.

The role requires a Cat B / 3.5T licence, at least two years of driving experience, and good literacy and numeracy. Overtime and weekend shifts may apply; benefit from a local, supportive work environment.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
