Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our team in Edinburgh. You will work around local routes, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time with a high level of service.

The role involves early shift patterns with occasional weekend work on an Any 5 from 7 roster. Overtime opportunities are available, and full CPC training hours are provided to support career development.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries and load/unload vehicles.
• Good literacy and numeracy for paperwork and records.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately for deliveries.
• Maintain good relationships with regular customers and provide a reliable service.

About the role

• Working pattern will either be Tuesday - Sat 7am -4pm OR Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm.

Working on an Any 5 from 7 contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
