Job summary

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and caring Neonatal Staff Nurse to join our Neonatal Unit. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in neonatal nursing within a supportive and friendly team. Our unit provides special care, high dependency care and intensive care for babies from 27 weeks gestation and above.

Responsibilities
  • You will be expected to deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to neonates and their families.
  • Monitor and assess babies’ conditions, responding promptly to changes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to the NMC guidance, policies and procedures.
  • Support parents in understanding and participating as partners in their baby’s care.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all clinical governance standards.
Qualifications
  • It is essential that you are an RN or RSCN, posses the Qualification in Speciality or have a keen interest to work towards the Qualification in Specialty, Intensive Care of the Newborn.
  • It is required that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an approachable manner and a positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst being committed to providing high quality care to the infants and families accessing our services.
