Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil in Quinton. This is a full-time, ongoing role ideal for someone with a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.

You will work closely with the pupil, using visual timetables and tailored activities to promote participation. The role may involve administering medications in line with school policy.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare or education.
• Has previous experience supporting children with similar additional needs.
• Patient, nurturing, and able to adapt to the child's learning style.

Responsibilities

• Support a non-verbal Year 4 pupil using visual timetables, including Now and Next boards.
• Assist minimally with eating; no toileting support required.
• Encourage active participation in lessons, helping to engage the pupil with tailored academic activities.
• Administer medication as required, including allergy medication, EpiPen, and inhaler.
