Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream secondary school in Hereford. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with autism and SEND, helping them engage with lessons and access the curriculum on a day-to-day basis.

The role is full-time, long-term with an immediate start, and offers market-rate pay. You will work closely with teachers to monitor progress and adapt strategies to the pupil’s needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with autism and SEND.
• Experience providing 1:1 support within an education or similar setting.
• A good understanding of the needs of secondary-aged students.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Hereford. The school is looking for a committed and supportive 1:1 Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support to a secondary-aged student within the school environment.

The school is looking to take on a 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will work closely with a student with autism and SEND, providing individual support with their learning, engagement and development while helping them access the curriculum and school day.

The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:
