Job summary

Vision for Education is partnering with Purfleet Primary Academy to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil’s learning, development and wellbeing at Purfleet.

The role involves tailored one-to-one support within the classroom, close collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO, and helping the pupil access the curriculum while promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a school or SEND setting is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to provide one-to-one support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Support the pupil with learning, engagement and development.
• Help the pupil access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Monitor the pupil's progress and communicate concerns to staff.
