Vision for Education are delighted to partner with Chigwell Primary School to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with learning, development and wellbeing. You will work closely with the class teacher and school team to provide tailored one-to-one support inside and outside the classroom, helping the pupil access the curriculum and participate fully.

• Caring, patient and compassionate to support a pupil.
• Enthusiastic about helping children reach their potential.
• Confident building positive relationships with pupils.
• Experience with children in a school setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and development.
• Help the pupil access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.
• Build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals where appropriate.
• Assist with classroom activities and provide support to the wider class when required.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Monitor and communicate the pupil's progress and any concerns to the appropriate staff.
