Job summary

Empowering Learning in Havering is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a classroom setting. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, helping the student achieve their learning goals with tailored support.

You will work closely with the class teacher, deliver targeted activities, monitor progress, adapt resources, and liaise with parents and specialist staff to support the student’s development.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and patience are essential for supporting the student.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
• Understanding of child development and adapting approaches to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver learning activities.
• Provide one-to-one support during lessons to help the student understand concepts.
• Monitor and record progress and report back to the teacher.
• Adapt resources to meet the student's needs.
