Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional learning needs across primary and secondary schools. You can choose your own schedule with regular local bookings, earning weekly PAYE pay.

Responsibilities include providing tailored support, assisting with classroom activities, and promoting positive behaviours. A DBS check is required or you must be willing to apply for one.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in educational or care settings.
• Patient, resilient, proactive and encouraging personality.
• Adaptability to different classroom environments and rapport with students.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one and suitable references.

• Assist with emotional regulation, sensory breaks, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and school support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as Autism, ADHD, MLD, or SEMH, in an educational or care setting.
• Attributes: A patient, resilient, proactive, and naturally encouraging personality.
• Adaptability: Ability to step into different classroom environments and build rapport with students quickly.
• Requirements: Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) and suitable references.
