Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is helping an alternative provision in Blackpool recruit an Unqualified Teacher for a high-impact 1:1 teaching and intervention role. This full-time, temp-to-perm position starts immediately, ideal for educators, cover supervisors, or youth workers who connect with vulnerable learners outside mainstream education.

Qualifications

Proven experience in 1:1 instruction, tutoring, or youth mentoring.
Experience supporting SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD or challenging behaviour.
Ability to deliver English, Maths, and digital literacy up to KS3/KS4 without QTS.
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
Right to work in the UK with satisfactory references covering 2 years.

Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 learning sessions and core curriculum support.
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons matching pace and goals.
Apply positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
Collaborate with SENCO, pastoral team and external agencies to monitor wellbeing.
Create a calm, structured learning environment to rebuild confidence and engagement.
