Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking experienced SEND Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition for children and young people in Ruislip and surrounding areas. Sessions typically occur in learners' homes or community settings during school hours, delivering tailored support for a range of SEND needs.

As an approved Alternative Provision provider, we support learners to rebuild confidence and re-engage with education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Previous experience as SEND Tutor, Teacher, TA, LSA, SEN TA, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker, Youth Worker or similar role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual needs.
• Patient, empathetic and flexible approach.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition in learners' homes or community settings.
• Support learners across subjects including English, Maths, Science and more.
• Plan and adapt sessions around each learner's ability, interests and educational goals.
• Build confidence, independence and a positive approach to learning.
• Provide academic, emotional and pastoral support where appropriate.
• Work flexibly during school hours, Monday to Friday.
