Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a SEND Primary Tutor to deliver one-to-one tuition to pupils in Yeovil and surrounding areas. You will support primary-aged learners with SEND/SEMH, adapt sessions to individual needs and build a calm, trusting relationship to promote engagement and progress.

The role involves working in-person, focusing on core subjects such as English and Maths, planning accessible activities, monitoring progress and communicating with parents and professionals as required while

Qualifications

Experience working with primary-aged children in educational or tutoring settings.
Experience working with children with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
Ability to deliver one-to-one or personalised support is desirable.
Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs.
Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
Patient, calm, flexible and supportive approach.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.
Right to work in the UK; willingness to undertake enhanced DBS checks.

Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one tuition to primary-aged pupils.
Provide support across core primary subjects including English and Maths.
Support pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.
Plan engaging, accessible and personalised learning activities.
Adapt teaching approaches to individual abilities and engagement levels.
Build positive, consistent and trusting relationships with pupils.
