Job summary

Quantum Scholars is recruiting experienced Alternative Provision Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support to learners across Hayes and surrounding areas. Sessions are usually in learners' homes or community settings during school hours, with tutors based in Uxbridge, Hayes, and nearby areas.

We seek tutors who can engage learners with ASC/ADHD, anxiety, EBSA, medical needs and other SEND challenges, building trust, routines and resilience to help them re-engage with learning and rebuild

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, tutoring or supporting children and young people.
• Experience working with learners who have SEND/SEMH or additional needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently with learners on a 1:1 basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
• Support learners across core subjects including English, Maths, Science.
• Plan and adapt sessions according to each learner's needs and interests.
• Help learners overcome barriers to education and develop positive attitudes toward learning.
• Build confidence, resilience, independence and self-esteem.
• Establish positive relationships with learners and provide pastoral support.
• Monitor progress and adapt your approach to achieve goals.
• Work flexibly during school hours, Monday to Friday.
• Deliver tuition in learners' homes or community settings.
