Job summary

Peak Education Recruitment Ltd in Morden is seeking a Part Time SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a 7-year-old pupil with ASC in a nurturing primary setting in Morden. The role runs Mon-Thu 8.30am–4.30pm with pay £15.45–£16.53 per hour, offering long‑term progression with weekly pay.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt support, help the child access learning, develop routines and emotional regulation, and promote inclusive, child‑centered

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs.
• GCSE Maths & English at Grade C (or equivalent) required.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support throughout the day.
• Build trusting, positive relationships with the child.
• Support learning in classroom and outdoor/creative activities.
• Encourage communication, independence and peer interactions.
• Assist with routines, transitions and emotional regulation.
• Follow strategies in the child’s support plan.
• Observe progress and share insights with the teaching team.
• Promote an inclusive, nurturing environment.
