Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEND and autism on a 1:1 basis at a welcoming school in Smethwick. The role is full-time, five days a week, with hours 08:30–15:30, and aims to provide strong, personalised support to help the student reach their full potential.

• Proven experience supporting children with SEND and autism.
• Patience, empathy and passion for helping children succeed.
• Strong communication and teamwork with staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 support to a student with SEND and autism.
• Assist with academic, social and emotional development to help the student achieve their best.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and staff to deliver effective support.
• Implement tailored strategies to help the student engage with the curriculum.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence.
• Assist with learning tools and resources tailored to the student’s needs.
