Job summary

Class Mate Education Limited seeks a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD at a primary school in NG3. You will provide focused, consistent help to access learning and build independence within the classroom.

Role involves working with the class teacher and SEND team, using strategies to aid communication, engagement and positive behaviour. September start with daily rate £100–£105.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Experience with ASD is desirable.
• Understanding of individualised support strategies.
• Patient, consistent and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD.
• Support access to classroom learning and activities.
• Use appropriate strategies to support communication and engagement.
• Help promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team.
