Woodlands Park Primary School in Barnstaple is seeking a 1:1 SEND TA to work with a child with SEND. You will support learning, implement EHCP provisions, and help the pupil access the curriculum with increasing independence.
The role is fixed-term until approx 31/08/2027, starting asap, 13.5 hours per week. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO, with safeguarding checks and in-service training provided.

Hours Per Week: 13.5 worked as follows: Monday to Friday: 10:00am - 12:00pm Tuesday and Wednesday: 1:20pm - 2:35pm and Friday: 1:20pm - 2:20pm

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEND, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence. The role will involve implementing agreed provision identified within the child's EHCP and providing tailored support for their learning, emotional regulation, self-esteem, social inclusion and wellbeing.
A key part of the role will be building a positive and supportive relationship with the child, while encouraging them to develop increasing independence and participate fully in learning and wider school life. Appropriate in-service training and ongoing support will be provided to enable the successful candidate to understand and respond effectively to the child's individual needs.
