Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support secondary pupils aged 11 to 16 across mainstream and SEN Unit. You will work 1:1, in small groups or in class, liaising with teachers and families to provide high-quality assistance and promote student wellbeing.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, positive behaviour management, and creating a supportive environment for learning at our partner school in the Harlow area. Training and ongoing professional development are provided.

The Role:

You will be expected to support Secondary aged pupils who are either lower ability, or have additional needs across the mainstream school and SEN Unit.

Working on a 1:1, small group or clasroom basis

Liaising with teachers, parents/carers and other support staff to provide the best quality assistance possible

Building strong rapports, breaking down barriers to learning and enhancing student personal and academic development

Providing a safe environment, for pupil well-being

Maintaining strong behaviour management
