Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the CB2 area of Cambridge. This full-time role combines 1:1 SEND support with general TA duties, offering opportunities to support pupils in the classroom and during targeted interventions.

Successful candidates may be offered a permanent contract directly with the school following a placement period through Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience working in UK schools.
• Hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification and/or demonstrate significant school-based experience.
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• DBS certificate enhanced and registered with Update Service, or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 SEND support and general TA duties.
• Support pupils with learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Follow EHCPs and adapt resources to individual needs.
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessments.
• Supervise pupils during activities, visits, and school events.
