Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and 1:1 SEND Support Assistants to work in primary schools across the local area.

Roles are available on a flexible day-to-day basis as well as long-term and permanent placements. No two days are the same: you will support teachers, work with pupils in small groups or one-to-one, promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning, and liaise with families.

Qualifications

• Patience and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
• Confident communicators who work well as part of a team.
• Experience in schools, childcare, youth work, care settings or SEND support (desirable).
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification advantageous but not essential.
• Willing to obtain Enhanced DBS if not already on Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons.
• Work with pupils individually or in small groups to boost learning and confidence.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy and classroom activities.
