Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in the UK is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and 1:1 SEND Support Assistants to work in welcoming primary schools across the local area near Cambridge. Flexible day-to-day arrangements are available, as well as long-term and permanent placements.

You will support teachers, work with pupils individually or in small groups, encourage positive behaviour, and help with literacy and numeracy. A DBS check and willingness to travel to local schools are required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Willing to obtain Enhanced DBS Certificate.
• Able to travel to local schools.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons.
• Work with pupils individually or in small groups to boost learning and confidence.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development.
• Support literacy, numeracy and classroom activities.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, adapting learning approaches to meet individual needs.
• Help create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
