Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to deliver tailored tuition for learners in the S1 area during weekday school hours. You will support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, helping them build confidence and re-engage with learning.

You’ll work with students across core subjects such as English, Maths and Science where needed, adapt teaching strategies for diverse needs, monitor progress, keep records, and collaborate with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• 1 year teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
• Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• QTS/PGCE or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting students with SEND/ SEMH.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies.

Hours: Part-Time, School Hours (Weekdays)
Pay: £25 - £30 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to learners in the S1 area of Sheffield. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised tuition during weekday school hours, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their academic goals.

You will work closely with learners who may have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties, adapting lessons to meet their individual requirements and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
