Job summary

Tp-Tutors is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide personalised support in the L23 Merseyside area during school hours on weekdays. The role focuses on core subjects such as English, Maths and Science, helping students with SEN to build confidence and re-engage with learning.

You will tailor lessons, monitor progress, and maintain records while working with families and professionals to support each learner's goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and core subjects.
  • Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

1:1 SEN Tutor (Core Subjects) - L23 Merseyside

Location: L23, Merseyside
Hours: Part-Time, School Hours (Weekdays)
Pay: £25 - £30 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to learners in the L23 area of Merseyside. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised tuition during weekday school hours, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across core subjects including English, Maths, and Science.

You will play a vital role in helping students build confidence, re-engage with learning, overcome barriers to education, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies.
