Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support in the WF9 Wakefield area during school hours. The role focuses on helping learners with SEN build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve academic goals.

You will deliver personalised tuition in core subjects and adapt to a range of SEN needs while monitoring progress and maintaining records. A DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND/SEMH.
  • Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies.

1:1 SEN Tutor - WF9 Wakefield

Location: WF9, Wakefield
Hours: Part-Time, School Hours (Weekdays)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to learners in the WF9 area of Wakefield.
