Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to support children and young people across Warwickshire from September 2026. Role involves delivering tailored tuition in Maths, English and Science, with flexible hours within 8:00am-4:00pm.

Applicants should hold QTS and have experience with SEN and the UK curriculum, plus DBS update service or willingness to obtain one. Driving licence preferred. Roles may be in schools, home, or community settings.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
Experience supporting students with SEN and/or additional needs.
Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
Experience teaching or tutoring core subjects including Maths and English.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet learner needs.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to students with SEN and additional needs.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Maths, English and Science.
Adapt lessons to individual learning styles and EHCP targets.
Build positive relationships with students, families, schools and professionals.
Monitor, assess and record student progress with regular feedback.
Create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment.
Work independently while receiving ongoing support from the Tradewind Tuition Team.
Flexible working hours within school hours (8:00am-4:00pm) Monday to Friday.
