Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutors to support children and young people in Southam and surrounding areas from October 2026. You will deliver tailored tuition, plan engaging lessons in core subjects, and adapt to individual needs, working within school hours and with ongoing support from the Tradewind Tuition Team.

Ideal candidates hold QTS and have experience with SEN, with a compassionate, patient, child-centred approach. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience supporting students with SEN and/or additional needs.
• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
• Experience teaching core subjects including Maths and English.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learner needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions to students with SEN and additional needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Maths, English, and Science.
• Adapt lessons to individual learning styles and EHCP targets.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, schools, and professionals.
• Monitor, assess and record student progress with regular feedback.
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
• Work independently with ongoing support from Tradewind Tuition Team.
