Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking 1:1 SEN Tutors across North Tyneside to provide personalised tuition to children and young people who require additional support with their education. Tuition can be delivered face-to-face or online, depending on the needs of the individual student.

Working in partnership with North Tyneside Council, you will support learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or who require additional 1:1 support.

Qualifications

• Experience in tutoring or teaching to support learners with SEND or additional needs.
• Ability to adapt sessions to individual learning needs and targets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 tuition either face-to-face or online.

Responsibilities

• As a 1:1 SEN Tutor, deliver personalised tuition sessions aligned to EHCP goals.
• Support students across Maths, English, Science and GCSE subjects.
• Adapt lesson content and teaching strategies to help learners re-engage with education.
