Job summary

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking experienced SEN 1:1 tutors to provide personalised tuition across Northampton and surrounding areas. Sessions occur in pupils' homes, schools or community settings during school hours.

Role offers flexible part-time and full-time opportunities with competitive pay and weekly payroll. CPD and SEND training are provided to support tutors in delivering inclusive, high-quality education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ UK teaching experience.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiation strategies.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• QTS/PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support a range of SEND needs.
• Plan lessons that promote academic progress, confidence and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools and relevant professionals.
• Encourage pupils to develop resilience, engagement and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
