Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to support children aged 3-18 in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas from June 2026 to January 2027. The role involves delivering personalised tuition in Maths, English, and Science, tailored to EHCP targets and individual learning needs.

You will build strong relationships with students, families, schools, and professionals, recording progress and providing clear feedback while working flexibly within school hours.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN and/or additional needs.
• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to students with SEN and additional needs.
• Plan and deliver lessons in core subjects including Maths, English, and Science.
• Adapt lessons around EHCP targets, academic ability, and individual learning styles.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students, families, schools, and professionals.
• Record student progress consistently and provide clear session feedback.
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
