Job summary

Aspiring 1:1 Teaching Assistant role at a specialist school in Redbourn, supporting pupils across primary and secondary. Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, full-time with temporary-to-permanent potential. ASAP start and a committed, calm approach to learners with ASD/ADHD are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN, ASD or ADHD is desirable.
• Ability to support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Patience, calmness and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and additional SEN needs.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities.
• Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a calm learning environment.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
• Following individual support plans and school policies.
