Job summary

Chepping View Primary Academy, Buckinghamshire, is seeking a Teaching Assistant with one-to-one responsibilities to support learning and development across 39 weeks per year. The role is term-time only and involves assisting in reading, writing and maths, as well as supporting pupils with additional needs and implementing safeguarding practices.

The position requires working closely with teachers to foster inclusive education, manage behaviour, and prepare learning resources.

Qualifications

• An up-to-date understanding of the EYFS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting learning (small groups and 1 to 1) during and outside of teacher input
• Supporting pupils with additional needs with their specific learning goals
• Helping children to develop socially, emotionally and academically
• Supporting pupils with reading, writing and maths
• Providing verbal feedback to pupils to move learning forward
• Promoting inclusion of different cultures and life experiences
• Managing behaviour and routines within the academy behaviour policy
• Preparing resources and activities as necessary
• Carrying out medical duties (training will be provided)
• Supporting children for part of lunch time
• Safeguarding and ensuring child safety
• Contributing to Chepping View staff team effectively
