Job summary

Wise Academies is seeking a highly motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join its team and provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil. The role involves preparing resources, delivering a 1:1 curriculum and contributing to a safe, supportive learning environment within Croftway Academy.

The successful candidate will have GCSEs in Maths and English, plus Level 2 Early Years or be working towards it, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional development within a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4 (C) in Maths and English.
• Level 2 Early Years practitioner (or working towards).
• Support quality first teaching alongside the class teacher.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
• Knowledge of intervention programmes (e.g., precision teaching).
• Willingness to engage in further training.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of children.
• Ability to use ICT to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil.
• Prepare resources and deliver 1:1 curriculum.
• Support learning across a range of activities and subjects.
• Assist with safeguarding and welfare of the pupil.
