Job summary

Pitmaston Primary School in Worcester is seeking a 1:1 Higher Level Needs Assistant for a pupil in upper KS2 with additional needs. The role is 27.5 hours per week and salary is £17,485–£17,763 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a child with SEND in a primary setting.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum is an advantage.
• Good communication with children and parents.
• Grade C GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and progress for the pupil following staff guidance.
• Deliver focused provision to meet the child’s needs with external agencies and the class teacher.
• Personalise resources to enable accessible learning.
• Help the child meet personal targets on the provision map.
• Support routines, expectations, and engage the child to build self-esteem and social skills.
