Job summary

Sturminster Newton High School is seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support for a named child. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider staff to ensure the child feels safe, supported and included in all aspects of school life.

Qualifications

• 1:1 support for a named child
• Safeguarding awareness and DBS checks may be required
• Collaborative work with teaching staff and SENCO

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a named child in line with learning and care needs.
• Support emotional, social and academic development in class and activities.
• Work with teachers and parents to implement and adapt learning strategies.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with record keeping and observations as required.
