Job summary

Five Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil at a welcoming primary school in Devizes. The role focuses on steady, individualized assistance to help the student thrive in a nurturing environment.

Full-time availability is preferred but not essential, with a pay structure via PAYE. The candidate should have experience with SEND, demonstrate patience and strong teamwork, and be comfortable collaborating with staff and families to support positive

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, especially social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Calm, patient, nurturing approach to behaviour and learning.
• Commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality pupil support.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with school staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the pupil throughout the school day.
• Build trusting relationships to help the pupil gain confidence and learn.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo on personalised learning strategies.
• Ensure the pupil feels heard, understood and valued.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
