Job summary

Think Education Partners are working with a welcoming primary school in Camden to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition. The role centers on personalised learning and behavioural strategies within an inclusive classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience with autism or SEND, be patient and resilient, and hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with autism and/or special educational needs.
• Experience in an Early Years or primary school setting.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with autism in the Early Years setting.
• Help implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
• Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities and daily routines.
