Job summary

Think Education Partners are working with a welcoming primary school in Camden to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition. The role centers on personalised learning and behavioural strategies within an inclusive classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience with autism or SEND, be patient and resilient, and hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

Location: Camden, North London
Salary: 90 - 110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with autism in the Early Years setting

Help implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals

Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Assist with classroom activities and daily routines

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children with autism and/or special educational needs

Has experience within an Early Years or primary school setting

Is patient, empathetic and resilient

Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Has excellent communication skills

Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
