Overview
We are looking for an HSE Manager for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Hérouville-Saint-Clair, France
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Duration: 1 year firm + 4 one-year options (subject to validation of the framework contract)
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Coming from a Bac + 4/5 training (engineer or 3rd cycle diploma)
- Minimum 12 years\' experience in a similar field (preferably construction or offshore)
- Experience with company desired
- Ability to manage and supervise a team
- Experience with construction sites is mandatory
- Knowledge of electrical risks
- Fluent written and oral English
- Ability to adapt to integrate into the project teams already in place
- Ability to develop staff awareness/training materials
- Knowledge of HSE requirements in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of HSE requirements for offshore work
- Knowledge of the applicable HSE requirements for the construction of electrical substations
- Resistance to stress, ability to react to possible accidents
- Writing and organizational skills to work on several projects in parallel
- Communication and listening skills to carry out missions by integrating the multicultural dimension and the organizational complexity inherent in this type of project
- Holder of a valid B licence
- H0V B0 HVB domain accreditation and HTB PASS supervisor level
- Formation GWO Basic Safety training valid
- Certificate of medical fitness for offshore work
Responsibilities
- He/she ensures that the service providers understand and implement all the HSE specifications in the Contract.
- Is the HSE contact person for the project
- Ensures the homogeneity of the prevention measures implemented on all the conversion stations, underground links, and offshore works lots
- Coordinates the action of the HSE team
- Drafts the HSE procedures necessary for the implementation of the project
- Leads HSE meetings with the batch managers and the Project Management (dedicated meetings or specific points)
- Consolidates the HSE results each month and shares them with the steering committee
- Ensures the smooth running of the SPS coordination service
- Ensures regular internal HSE reporting to the HSE business manager
- If necessary, participates in the various calls for tenders for the HSE project and in analyses/defenses
- Participates through his feedback in the updates of HSE and PGC specifications
- Participates in the cross-functional documentary preparation (DIIREM Info safety / environment, memo, etc.)
- Participates in the integration of newcomers into the project team
- Monitors PPE for the project
- Organizes the availability of the HS&E team according to the operational constraints of the project
- Participates in the consolidation of feedback
